Fact #1: Spokane has the 3rd most deadly police force in America —>
Fact #2: Black Spokane residents are 5 times more likely to be arrested
Fact #3: Native Americans were about four times more likely to be arrested than whites in a year.
Fact #4: Spokane police continue to disproportionately stop black, Native American, Middle Eastern and Pacific Islander residents.
Fact#5: Native Americans are 49% more likely to have force used against them than whites.
Police brutality happens here. It is prevalent. It is systemic. And we are in a unique position to make paradigm shifting change if we as a community choose to do so.
Incrementalism won’t work.
